I use GIMP for image editing, so probably that.

To be blunt, adding interactivity would also require me to figure out how to make it meaningful in a way that isn't boring, and I'm not really interested in taking weeks to figure that out.

You can cheer all you want but you can't affect the gameplay at all. It makes running the game way easier if I don't have to take any user input. I'm a big enjoyer of emojis so the game pieces will likely be emojis too.

Definitely digital, I live with my family so putting anything physical down seems like a mess. As for placements, I was thinking I'd make a Google Form to submit your choices. There would probably be no constraints other than locking the last ~10 spaces, to prevent what happened in the video.

Disappointment being the catalyst for action, I've been tossing around the idea for running this on Discord. I'd handle all the rolls myself and it'd kind of be like a horse racing vibe where you just watch and cheer for your piece to win.
