Framework update from Powell: removed the "shortfalls" language but adds: "employment may at times run above real-time assessments of maximum employment without necessarily creating risks to price stability."
noting that estimates of "maximum employment" are "highly uncertain."
Line plot from an analysis by Will Raderman showing similar employment trends for recent college graduate in "low" and "high" AI usage sectors
Is AI responsible for the relative increase in unemployment among recent college graduates? Probably not.
Recent grad employment trends are similar in industries more or less likely to use AI

Second: No new brand is complete without merch!
Some vintage logo merch will continue to be available for a limited time, but we’re also premiering our brand new logo on a variety of designs: employ-america-shop.fourthwall.com
First: We have a beautiful new website reflecting a suite of new branding!
We of course love our vintage logo - we’ll continue to find ways to use it. Our goal has been to strengthen our visual brand while maintaining continuity in color and details www.employamerica.org

But that's not all...
this is an extremely thoughtful note; one can really look at EA as a guiding light for how the “needs” for US policymaking have evolved over the past 5-10 years.
