EHH1 was about being young and looking forward to who you're going to be, while EHH2 is about being older and looking back at who you were before, and trying to make those pieces of yourself match up or add up to something, about making decisions out of necessity that you might not have liked before

EHH1 was about the teenage frustration of trying to figure out who you want to be and how to become that person while other people with other expectations are exerting power on you at every step; EHH2 is about how sometimes, in your 30s, you realize that's unfortunately still true

anyway I always love making these season playlists, but EHH feel so music-driven to me in a way the main seasons don't, so these playlists are such a blast to make & I really feel like I get to let my inner teenage scene kid shine
