A triptych of images. The Hull is a robot with glowing red eyes wearing a blue work jacket and somehow managing a sullen expression. The playbook is described as "The soul of a condemned criminal trapped in a robot body." The Hit Squad shows an image of a pistol with a silencer and a playing card with a skull and viper on its face. A crew playbook for contract killers, discreet and skilled assassins. The Swinger depicts a woman with a bob haircut and bright pink sunglasses flashing a peace sign. Her dress is brown, pink and yellow. The playbook is described as "A wheeler and dealer - the life of the party."

CHRISTINE: Right, so… [chuckles] So Serafina tells you that Raphael was speaking toβ€”I’m not calling him known criminal Nowm Crininal! I’m not doing it! We have to give this character a real name.
[laughter]
ANDREW: How hard is it?
CHRISTINE: I can’t say it without laughing.
ANDREW: Serafina says that Raphael was talking to known criminal Nowm Crininal.
SAM: [cackles]
CHRISTINE: Well, now you’ve said it, so I don’t have to.
ANDREW: Yeah. No, that’s fine. This is my character connection. You just have to play known criminal Nowm Crimininal.

CHRISTINE: Yeah, that’s his name, first name Known, surname Criminal.
ANDREW: Yeah.
CHRISTINE: Yeah.
ANDREW: Noam Criminal… Crininal.
CHRISTINE: [laughs]
SAM: [types notes]
ANDREW: No, Crininal.
SAM: Crininal. Thank you.
ANDREW: Noam Crininal.
CHRISTINE: Bad.
ANDREW: Also, not gnome like the fantasy race, Noam as in Noam Chomsky.
CHRISTINE: Noam as in Noam Chomsky?

ANDREW: Yeah.
CHRISTINE: Yeah.
SAM: Oh my god!
CHRISTINE: N-O-M-E is the place in Alaska. N-O-A-M is…
SAM: N-O-A-M.
ANDREW: N-O-A-M is the Chomsky, is the linguist.
CHRISTINE: …is the linguist.
SAM: Okay, let me fix it.
CHRISTINE: Great. I’m glad that Google Drive has decided to red underline the word Crininal but not the word Nowm, N-O-W-M. Nowm? Has it become Nowm?
ANDREW: Wait, Sam, did you also write β€œcity of-fish-ials”? Because I alsoβ€”
SAM: Wait, did you do that?!
ANDREW: No! I just had that thought in my head, and I was gonna type it into the Discord chat, and then I wasn’t sure how to spell it so that the joke would come across. My brain also said, yeah, the City of Fishles.
SAM: Yeah, City of Fishles.
ANDREW: And then my brain thought of that Red Hot Chili Peppers song, Under The Bridge. [singing] The city I live in, the City of Fishles!

Hey all -- here's the thing: I really wanna take Paul Scott Canavan's Mastering Imaginative Realism class, but since losing my job, I have no extra $.

SO! I'm running a fundraising event to try and raise the extra money. I'm offering 30 drawings for 30$ apiece!

A bud has asked for some advice on running FitD #ttrpg (specifically #BladesInTheDark) and I think for me it comes down to three principles.

1) Say "yes, but" a lot
2) Make the PCs tell you who the fuck these people are/what this fucking place is/what these pricks are up to
3) FFS tick the clock up

BUT FIRST let’s compare and contrast with the graphic design of Blades in the Dark, a landmark in the history of RPG layout.
