I'm laying here in bed thinking about it sitting in the fridge waiting for me. Mainly because I'm back to intermittent fasting, and it's the last thing I ate about 2 in the afternoon. I can eat again at 6 in the morning.

Good gawd was this thing good! It was the best thing I made on a first try. A real banger of a recipe. It was a pain for me to wrangle up some of the ingredients: however, it was well worth the effort. I hope this holds up in the fridge cause I got a lot of it left over. I'm sharing this recipe.🧵

Yeah I often go off on flights of fancy when thinking about going somewhere, and it does make me feel better. However, it's the execution of said plans that invariably tanks everything.

Long weekend of rain with the possibility of freezing rain/ snow later in the week. I'm scheduled for field work when that happens.

Friday the 13th lived up to the hype for me. I came home from work yesterday in a bad way. Physically tired, mentally drained, and spiritually depleted. I sat on the couch and just wondered about where I'm at in life right now.

Two cups of fresh coffee this morning and feeling much better.

I did a big boy thing yesterday and got the first of two shingles vaccinations. To be honest here I was hoping that I'd wake up this morning feeling lousy. Just my luck that I feel nothing and now have no excuse not to go to work. I think that might have been my motivation all along.

Happy Monday and happy propane delivery day. On Saturday I made an online order for a propane delivery as the tank is indicating 20% full. They said their records suggested expedited delivery for $300 more since it'll be at least a week. I knew better. Email this morning now says delivery is today.

The scroll wheel on my trackball wasn't working properly this weekend. It got so bad that I lifted it up to remember where all the screws were the last time I cleaned it. After I set it back down, it started working properly.

Yup, the biggest thing I learned from taking a Spanish class was how dumb the English language is. If you're not pronouncing a vowel, then it shouldn't be in there.

Okay, I regret making this post. I just watched episode 9 and holy shit did everything come to a head. There was some spectacular and inspired writing as a lot of unknowns were revealed. Obviously I should have given this a real chance to make good which it did.

Way too claustrophobic settings for me to watch more than one season of this. It's good, but it makes me feel a bit ill watching it.

Two more episodes of Severance to go, and I got to say it has been a slog. Especially the first three or four episodes. It has picked up a bit and last night's viewing of episode 8 did end with a real cliff hanger. However, once I finish the season I'll probably be done with it.

Found this on the table in the break room at work. I'm thinking that I should call HR.

I'm dabbling in video editing too, so I understand that look. Then again I'm not making it any easier on myself by using Da Vinci Resolve.

And poorer since I got my eye on purchasing a Rivian for my "golden years." And that won't be until next year.

It's only Tuesday night, and I can barely get off the couch to go to bed. I'm getting too old for the shit at work. Maybe I should consider bumping up my retirement date.
