While not intended to be a Christmas decoration, this display was put up at work by a co-worker who's actually a talented artist. She found this shrub remains and thought it looked good enough to do something with. It's a work in progress, and I think it would have been better on the ground.

Oh they just love it up there. They're used to it. Besides they're still in drought conditions there.

All the more reason to beat on it daily. The dummy that is.

Yeah I'd like to know how to prevent ocular migraines. I can go a year or longer without one and then get several in a month for whatever reason. Vitamin and calcium supplements might work because when you hit your 60s, you realize why there's Geritol. 🧓👴🏼

While I try to keep my trite gym workout picture posts to a minimum, this time it was special. At least special to me as I've been sick lately and this is my triumphant return. This shot was made with most of my workout behind me and the ocular migraine just starting to kick in. That would account for the look on my face that would seem to be indicative of a stroke. Leaning on the 4x4 too helps promote my temporary look of frailty. Luckily this was just lower body today. However, depending on how I'm feeling this afternoon I might go back for some upper body work. Knowing myself though I'm betting I won't.

After 2 weeks I'm finally back in the gym. Good thing too because yesterday was a classic day of sloth with me eating poorly and often. Though I'm mostly over my cold, a cough or two from me still sounds awful. Also ocular migraines. Fortunately Sunday mornings rarely have more than 4-5 people in.

Oh boy I just caught my typo. Leather instead of Lather? Guess my mind was somewhere else though honestly leather does nothing for me.

I wondered about that too, but the light comes on and stays on going to work. When I start up at work, the light is on. 20 minutes later as I'm getting near home, it goes off and stays off. Leather. Rinse. Repeat. Off and on at two exact but different locations.

Yeah but I don't like false positives or failed alerts. And the warning light keeps blinking at me.

Actually what it has been doing is coming on at the same exact part of the commute to work and then going off at another specific spot on the way back home. Weird.

Back at the tire shop to get my tire pressure sensors replaced. Yeah, they were due for replaced but spending $400 on top of the cost on new tires from last week grates on my inner Scrooge McDuck. I have more than enough to cover all that though I would prefer that I didn't have to. Go figure.

I'm thinking that HBO will continue to churn out decent content except that any series they put out will suddenly be canceled just as it starts to gain a loyal following. And all because it didn't meet some sort of obscure metric that only Netflix knows about.

The table carvings are definitely the extra touch that go well beyond the ordinary. I do especially like the crocodile.

I did the exact same thing. However, I can't bring myself to just throw it out. I use it for smoothies.

Anyway, I feel better knowing that there's others just as flawed as I am out there walking amongst the humans.

I think the lower reaches of the Colorado river could use the extra snow melt more than Northern California. Besides, it's rumored that you'll have 300 days of sunshine to make it all go away. 🌞

Weather here has been pretty quiet lately. Guess this is where it all went.

So now I plan on taking these lemons and making lemonade by telling myself that I should head out to Death Valley in late February or early March because I got new tires! I'll believe myself when I actually do it. I'm getting to the age where I'm starting to dislike long road trips.

$700 for a new set of tires with some rather aggressive tread that I now regret. Then yesterday I get a light on my dash for low tire pressure. Stopped twice to check and again once I got to work. All fine. Now it looks like another $400 for new TPMs. Safety ain't cheap.

Not quite the stud (or stag) I'd like to see around the house.

I'm working on getting that large house on the central California coast once the lottery comes through for me.

It's just taking longer than I thought it would.

Not to beat a dead horse here, but I feel like I'm in a perpetual hangover. Pounding head and body aches for days now. No fever. And yes, I still can't taste anything. WTF am I supposed to do for breakfast? 🐴🤧🧇

Anyway I have an appointment for a tire rotation at 11:00. Let's see how I handle this.

I'm hoping that I recover slowly so that I can call in sick on Monday and teach the boss a lesson about spreading viruses in the workplace.
