Here’s a 40 year old gripe. Alicia Masters looks so much like Sue Storm that in her first appearance the Puppet Master had Alicia impersonate Sue well enough to trick her boyfriend and brother for 4 pages. Which makes Byrne hooking her up with Johnny kinda gross.

Started watching the 4th Doctor front to back and am here to report the first storyline does not disappoint. Look at this mad bastard. Fun and also makes you feel like you could do it yourself at home.

I strived for years to be taken seriously as a Convincingnessist artist but I could never get anyone to believe in my work. Philosophically I’m more of a Neoconvincingnessist anyway. 🤷‍♂️

Two covers posted side by side. First in an imaginary cover to a 1970-era Action Comics which depicts Lightning Lad showing his shocked sister Light Lass that her boyfriend Timber Wolf (formally Lone Wolf) that he is a junkie in an homage to the cover of Green Lantern/Green Arrow #85 (1971) originally illustrated by Neal Adams. The second imaginary cover is an homage to Camelot 3000 #5 (1983) originally illustrated by Brian Bolland. The circa-1983 Legion of Super-Heroes cover shows the Emerald Empress on a throne with the Emerald Eye hovering at her side with an unconscious Supergirl laying at the Empress' feet. In her crystal ball we see that three members of the Legion of Super-Heroes are trapped inside.

A couple of the many fantasy covers that cover artist John Watson contributed to BACK ISSUE #68 (Oct 2013) - Legion of Super-Heroes in the 70s and 80s. They are all fantastic!
