-Holds classified docs
-They are the ombudsman of the Freedom of Information Act-what citizens/journalists use to keep the government accountable
-Administer the Electoral College process, receive/validate certifications
-Code of Federal Regulations for all agencies
-Constitutional amendment process
-Holds all federal records and determines what is to be destroyed, kept temporarily or permanently
