Just a portion of a picture Im working on. I originally avoided drawing pieces from the Ascarian POV since noone would understand their language, but I decided to just use english for the art pieces so I could finally do some of these ideas.

Day 5: Exploration This KT-G12 Survey Vessel is a lower cost alternative to KT’s E62 model. Developed just a year before first contact with the Ascarians, many were quickly militarized in the war that followed.

Day 6: Corporate As prolific Umic Industries is in the galaxy, they came into being rather suddenly. No-one is quite sure when and where Umic originated, just that this secretive organization was suddenly everywhere, with hands in all kinds of manufacturing.

Day: 7 Drones Drones are commonly used by Shaftion to test experimental equipment, especially in the Film or Void.

Day 8: Asymmetry Tugs are commonly used around shipyards and stations for maneuvering things unable to move themselves. Theyre blocky, weird ships, but they serve an important purpose.

Day 10: Utilitarian Service pods, theyre aboard any ship that can carry one. If you have a hole in your ship too big to patch by hand, this thing is your friend. This model was included aboard the rapid response rescue ship that responded to the Nebula Explorer Incident

Day 12: Realistic During the first attacks by the Ascarian empire, anything and everything was brought to bear in the defense of Earth, including these mothballed 80 year old relics. Not many survived the first months of the war.

Day 14: Faster Than Light Film travel, the strange reality bending method of traveling the universe at ridiculous speed.

Day 3: Winged The UMIC S110 ATO is a shuttle craft utilized as transportation for distances that are too short for an FTL jump. Initially designed as a military escort, it instead found popularity among the diplomatic and civilian markets.

Day 4: Cramped Truly cramped starships were phased out early on in the face of accessibility and safety standards. These days, this is about as cramped as most small starships get.

I always loved the Incredible Cross Section books as a kid, I still have some of them!

I wanted to do something like this for the longest time :o it took quite a bit, working between commissions, but I think the final product was well worth it~
