This is absolutely the case. Leaving things the same, or investing resources in long-established disciplines, doesn't help them climb the next rung on the ladder

DoJ cases against protesters keep collapsing as officersโ€™ lies are exposed in court String of embarrassing defeats for prosecutors as experts condemn DoJ effort to cast people as โ€˜violent perpetratorsโ€™

Gaslighting and Double Speak, aka BLATANT LYING, go pretty far until they get into a court of law and then, under evidence, they fall apart.

But thereโ€™s another serious problem for the people charged. By the time their trial gets to court, the economic, โ€ฆ

These are all adult cops escalating into violence against teenagers. Many of the students are now being held by the cops who assaulted them.

A lot of people, including me, were wondering how an IRB could ever approve this study.

The answer is that no IRB did. The person who โ€œsigned offโ€ on approval from the only ethics board that reviewed it had resigned three years earlier. His signature was used without his knowledge.

"In Chicago, of 92 people arrested for assaulting or impeding officers last fall, 74 cases have resulted in no charges; in 13 cases, charges were filed and dismissed; and five charged cases were still pending *** As of the end of January, there have been no convictions."

This is the kind of thing a rich CEO says at the beginning of a science fiction movie to establish for the audience that he is a sociopath and the villain.

The logic here only makes sense if you assume AI and human beings are in a competition for resources (which in some meaningful sense might be true), and that the most efficient consumer of resources for performing AI-related functions should be allowed to win (which is pathological).

Just last week, Fuentes called for women to be placed in โ€œbreeding gulagsโ€ where the government will โ€œdetermine which ones are acceptableโ€ for release. This is the flip side of the coin for eugenics totalitarianism, and it has a clear precedent in authoritarian and fascist regimes of the past. Nazi Germany implemented a program of forced sterilization for those it deemed โ€œundesirableโ€ while also creating forced breeding programs for those it deemed racially desirable. They believed that controlling who could reproduce, and under what circumstances, was a key part of their project of domination.

Fuentes is now the most important bridge between white nationalist ideology and looksmaxxing culture. He and Clavicular have appeared together publicly, co-streamed, and cultivated overlapping audiences. Fuentes has echoed looksmaxxingโ€™s central obsession. He has also publicly attacked Vice President JD Vance as having โ€œa fat face, no jawline, no chin,โ€ and then pivoted immediately to saying that โ€œhis wife and kids are not white.โ€

Im a disability historian, and teach eugenics histories almost every year. And since 2017/8, Ive been posting about how eugenics was being normalized in social media/national discourse, and I am so angry at all the people (physicians, journos) who said people raising the alarm were being hysterical

The Trump Tariffs Case Is a Preview of Bigger Supreme Court Fights to Come The conservative justices built the major questions doctrine to thwart a Democratic president. They are reserving the power to do it again.

It is good that the Supreme Court spiked Trump's cartoonishly illegal tariffs. But the six conservatives also made sure that next time a Democrat is in the White House, they'll be free to use their "major questions doctrine" to strike down any policy they don't personally like
