Walked into a record shop yesterday that had a large collection of 80s rock/pop on vinyl. Got a bit nostalgic so I picked these up.

I have heard that some manufacturers are also putting things like heated seats behind a paywall.

So our cars now have features built in that we are locked out of by default unless we allow the manufacturers to perpetually collect money from us.

So many new things popping up in my life that just underline how shitty late-stage capitalism is.

I just learned that Toyota locks remote start to a paid subscription.

It works for a year after purchase, then one has to subscribe if they want to start their car remotely. Even with the key fob.
