Remember, Trump has a tell: Every time he uses the word “exonerated,” he’s brazenly lying.

That’s especially true when it comes to Epstein: www.ms.now/rachel-maddo...

“I believed stupid things and my child suffered horrible for it” is quite a gut punch.

“It wasn’t me, it was God’s plan” is, I suppose, one way to avoid dealing with it.

One thing MAGA and MAHA have in common is they are all cowards totally lacking in moral fiber.

It is mind blowing to me that one company I work with has to maintain separate purchasing, segregated inventory, and has to periodically prove that even pencils for other tasks aren’t being purchased with DOD funds, while tax dollars are putting his and her bidets in the good ship Womp Womp.

Wild that we’ve reached the point where we’d kill for even 1 or 2 GOP senators to suck at his level today.

My favorite McArdle is when she posted that humans are exceptionally good at gender identification and then, a few posts later, gave her thoughts on why she gets misidentified as a man.

To be clear, this is what a lot of humans do. Lift code, tweak it, and use it as their own while ignoring the license agreement we original creators put on our work.

So tools like Claude Code didn’t invent this “coding”, they just automate it.

But it still should be part of a viability question.

Don’t get me wrong, it’s good the article tries to pose biz and philosophical questions, but how do you really examine either until you accept how LLM “coding” works.

It is car theft/chop shop type tool. It takes others code, disguises the source and delivers it to you.

This was an interesting read for me. It really conveyed the instant gratification dopamine fix that eludes me when I look at these tools.

But most interesting to me was the anthropomorphism. Ben attributes a lot of credit to CC that belongs to the humans whose work is being stolen and tweaked.

I’d be interested in seeing all the self described Christians around him answer that one.

It’s a pretty nuanced parable. Something tells me that none of them have read it closely or given it much thought.

Yes, the study focussed on experienced programmers. There is some evidence that AI might help junior staff with completing simple assignments.

Some is linked in this article.

My personal observation is that it also stunts junior folks professional development.

Hegseth welcomes radical Christian nationalist to lead an official Pentagon prayer service Pastor Doug Wilson’s role at an official event at the Defense Department should be seen as a scandal worthy of scrutiny.

Pastor Doug Wilson wants to ban women from voting and end First Amendment protections for minority faiths he doesn’t like.

Hegseth invited this fringe Christian nationalist to the Pentagon yesterday to lead an official prayer event.

How is this not a scandal?

Interrupts couldn’t work because there is interrupt jitter (time to respond to an interrupt varies). The outputs needed to be clock locked. The timer let outputs be adjusted in 12nS steps.

I could go on… but I’m going to mute you instead.😘

Vibe coding firmware is always going to be worse because MCU’s are specialized and the training set is narrower.

In this case what was needed was about 15 lines of code setting up a timer with outputs. When I was called in it was about 1500 lines of code and using interrupts…

Claude Code doesn’t think, it probability from its training, so he got complicated gibberish, because CC clearly stole from ArduPilot and PX-4, which both use more complex (and different) embodiments.

The 2nd most recent was dumber - an attempt to vibe code firmware…

Well new account, I can give you lots of examples of Claude Code wasting time that I have personally observed. I see it almost every week. Here are two most recent.
