Dear ones, I knew I’d made a grievous error when one in our party exclaimed, ARE YOU WEARING WHITE???
Each time dressed I felt increasingly more odd. I came to realize this Me was a seaside imposter. Perhaps she doesn’t like Halloween or thrifting. Maybe blue-wearing Me doesn’t watch SVU?!?!

Well, my kindred souls of the dark, I turned 50. I thought I should let a little color in & bought a few blouses in colors or white, for an upcoming family cruise. Maybe AARP Club card rejecting Me could reside in heretofore dreaded anything-but-black-except-maybe-dark-grey (AKA light black).

My fellow wearers of black, I did an experiment so you don’t have to.

Everything in my closet & drawers are typically shades of black (did you know it comes in shades? Some have a green underhue, or purple, or blue & on & on).

I attended the birthday of a dear friend, yesterday. He’s an artist, so many of his guests were, also. It took place in the woods with BBQ and unlimited pie, and ended with bagpipes. Spending time with other artists feeds my soul more than all the BBQ and pie in the world🩷

Jogged for the 1st time, since breaking my back & 3 new levels of titanium(2+ years, 6 levels total: T12-S1).

It was slow & hurt a lot, but Beastie Boys helped. Hopefully I can also find the will to write again.

I’m determined to find myself, but she knows how to hide.

Thinking about the time I stopped by my grandmother’s house w/3 high school friends & she came to the door without pants (thank gawd her glamorous silk blouse was juuust long enough). She said it was too hot for pants & “taking a dip [in the backyard pool]” was more convenient this way.
