I don't remember much from last night's dreams, but I remember at one point I was drinking hot chocolate. Maybe I should have some today? It is pretty cold out.

BTW, they are definitely going to make a sequel if the film makes enough money.
07.12.2025 02:50 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Five Nights at Freddy's 2 was enjoyable. It's missing a lot of the emotional arcs and character development that the first film had, but the animatronics are still cool, the PG-13 horror and humor work, and the story is still well told. 4/5, I would see another sequel. #HorrorSky #HorrorMovies
07.12.2025 02:50 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Coming up with stories is easy. Coming up with character names for those stories...a Herculean labor each and every time. Here's hoping I can figure out this minor character's name while I watch this movie. It's bugging me! #WritingCommunity
07.12.2025 00:33 β π 2 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I found a recipe for sugar-free gingerbread cookies and bought the ingredients I was missing. Expect me to make some later this month. And to give them Halloween and Hanukkah shapes. Because would you expect anything different from me?

How did everyone's goals for this week go? My writing plans changed again, so I didn't do any editing this week. However, I had a really good week this week! Like, unbelievably good! So yeah, I'd say that goal was reached and surpassed.

06.12.2025 04:52 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0When one door closes, another door opens. And now, I'm closing the door on this day by getting some sleep. Good night and pleasant nightmares, everybody.

06.12.2025 03:00 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I'll hopefully be finishing up "Wake Up and Open Your Eyes" by Clay McLeod Chapman on audio book this weekend. And as far as watching, I'm seeing Five Nights at Freddy's 2 tomorrow night, and watching several episodes of anime over the weekend.
06.12.2025 01:25 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Wishing everyone a lovely Krampusnacht and a Shabbat Shalom. May horned, hairy demons not show up at your house. Or if they do, it's just to drink and not to punish you for your naughty behavior.

Today was, unequivocally, a good day. The latest in a week of good days. I hope tomorrow is more of the same.
Now if anyone needs me, I'll be asleep. Good night and pleasant nightmares, everyone.
For instance, @bettyrocksteady.bsky.social made my profile image! Art from real people is awesome!

I know it might sound crazy, but it works!
We writers should not be insulting our brothers and sisters in the visual arts by using AI slop for our covers or in our presentations.
We already had access to photo depositories and stock art and it's easy enough to ask artists if you can reuse their work for a promotional credit.
Naturally, we had a lot to talk about, including how he could connect with other local horror writers.
Never thought I'd end up giving someone who works alongside our regional CEO info about horror writing, but here we are. Life is full of surprises!

So, another crazy thing happened at that holiday party today: I ended up at the same table as a different exec and his wife, and we got to talking. Turns out, he's an aspiring horror writer and an anime fan as well.

At the dept holiday party, they had bottles of sweet red from a local winery. Only the label had one of our execs wearing a Santa hat and doing his impression of The Most Interesting Man in the World on it. I got to keep a bottle and I got a photo with the man himself!
I love my life sometimes.

04.12.2025 04:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Well, my plans changed again: I ended up giving a short story one last look before sending it off to a magazine. And tomorrow, if there's time, I'll be plotting a new short story for a charity anthology. Still, I'm not complaining. Life is going well for me lately.
