Two black-tail stags see a coyote in our neighbor's yard.

Two stags (black-tailed deer) were in our neighbor's backyard munching on plants when a coyote came down the slope. Zoom into the top of the second pic to see the coyote. The stags took off after the coyote. I'm guessing that they were defending a doe and fawns up in the greenbelt behind us.

We just got a new fur baby! Charlie is 17 months old and well trained by the breeder. He is a sweetie and loves to cuddle! We are in 7th heaven! #dog #corgi

I replaced my home weather station with a fancier model. It occurred to me that I could use the old one to monitor the temperature in our mini-greenhouse. It worked great!

We wanted to get our tomato plants but its been a bit too cool to put them into the garden. The fix is this mini-greenhouse that I've set up on the deck. I've placed bricks on the floor of the greenhouse to help it hold heat. A couple of incandescent lamps can supply extra heat if needed. #gardening

Combining two of my favorite activities, gardening and woodworking, I built a string trellis for our soon-to-be-planted tomatoes out of some left over cedar. Tomatoes will go in shortly. Hoping for a good yield!

Years ago there was a truism about computing: garbage in, garbage out. It was realized long ago that the output of a program would only be as good as the data that was fed into it. Now we have AI. Nothing has changed.

Answering my own question, Wikipedia has an article on "ice spikes" which discusses the physics around their formation. The natural world is endlessly fascinating!

We received about 2" of snow overnight. Enough to be pretty without being a real problem.

PSA: a friend's dishwasher had a slow leak. The subfloor was ruined by the time the leak was discovered. I already have a wireless leak detector on the water heater and just installed another under the kitchen sink and dishwasher. Cheap insurance!

One might recall that it was the Reagan administration that got rid of usury laws which has led to the absurdly high CC interest rates in the first place. I certainly did not see the Republicans reversing course on usury. Time will tell if this actually amounts to anything other than grandstanding!

File under weird, the far-right Senator Josh Hawley excoriated the execs of Visa and M/C for monopolistic behavior as evidenced by obscenely high profit margins (what other legal industries can claim a 50 % profit margin?). He is agreeing with Trump that CC interest rates need to be capped.

Thanks! I don't think scribing saves any time but I think it produces a cleaner look. There are of course places where molding makes sense like crown molding. I also scribed the cabinets to the walls on both ends.
