To be fair, Dalziel is 17. He’s a schoolboy and could (maybe should) be playing for the U18s. Yes, he made a couple of errors but, considering his age and playing level, I thought he did himself proud.

He’ll learn and get better.

Started paying a bit of attention to Edogbo in club matches when I saw you guys mentioning him on here. Been really impressed by him. Great athlete and a proper handful.

He could become a huge player (literally and metaphorically) for both Ireland and Munster.

Absolutely, that one incident was very telling. What should have been a great counter attack opportunity was a turned into a complete shambles as the players looked like they did’t know what to do.

I listen to a lot of audio books. I live on my own and not a big fan of silence.

Sadly, I have no answer to this. The answer was obvious before Everitts’ incredible contract extension. I only hope that, after two more seasons of this, the damage is not unrecoverable. 6/6

Their defence is tenacious, which is good. But in attack, Edinburgh seem to have nothing to offer. After 3 years of Everitt, I still can’t work out what Edinburgh are trying to ‘do’. If they were winning, I would happily admit that he simply knows better. But they’re not. 5/6

One of the key tenets for the Scottish pro-team coaches is to bring through young talent for Scottish rugby. It has to be that way, as they are our only domestic pathway. Some of us are more worried about the ‘damage’ the coaching at Edinburgh is doing to young players, rather than benefit. 4/6

We can see ‘new’ players being thrown into the pool, as a result of injury or unavailability, to see if they can swim, rather than given time and short involvements, surrounded by the experienced ‘old heads’, as happens at Glasgow. 3/6

At Edinburgh, we can see that the culture is wrong from player’s body language. Previously excellent players we’ve followed for years that look ‘unhappy’, off form and not their usual selves. We can see a lack of ‘shape’ in attack. We can see a lack of game plan or structure. 2/6

Apologies, a thread. With Everitts’ extension, the thing the SRU seem to have missed, is that many of the rugby viewing public are quite knowledgable. It’s a complicated game, so to be a fan one needs to understand many facets of it. It’s not ‘just’ the results (although those are paramount). 1/6
