Madeline looks to be contemplating her next move. She's building her future castle, home sweet home.

I’ve never visited your area & would happily take you up on that kind invite, if ever the opportunity should come to be. It looks beautiful and warm. Whenever I can get it, the ocean has always been strong therapy for me. Stories there, many a beach in my time, continues today. Delightful.

But I owe the basis of my special talent & success in connecting with kids & families to my severely dysfunctional childhood home & subsequent years as a foster child. Stubborn persistence won out in the end & the insight from all that enhanced unique ability I brought to my work. So many stories.

I’ll share that the art in my career was as an elementary teacher, special education, serving the most needy in self contained settings. I was a kid magnet in that environment, especially to the naughty loves…haha. I excelled through hard ass work, love and commitment. And grit, a shitload of grit.

I am in the High Desert of Central Oregon, close by Mt Bachelor. We had our first dusting of snow overnight, temps in the 20s, damn freezing!

Thinking of the difference a day can make… hopeful that your sis is holding strong and steady, resting comfortably today in some of the best hands - she so deserves.
