Thank you! I've not read that one by Atwood, actually, but I'll seek it out. My motivation was mainly that I wanted a solid adventure tale that encapsulated *my* love of genre fiction. So, I wrote a buddy cop/frienemies kind of caper with touches of Conan the Barbarian and Alien. It was a blast!

Hell yeah! I can now reveal that my story, A Simple Errand, has been selected for inclusion in Year's Best Canadian Fantasy & Science Fiction: Volume Three.

I finally get to be proud of myself in a Canadian context. And believe it or not, my story isn't about maple leaves, moose, nor apologies!

I watch this movie a few times per year. It's a modern genre masterpiece alongside Under the Skin, Mandy, and the Lighthouse. We're lucky to have this film. Book was good, too 😉
