I had many goals for spring break… one was querying and I just sent out 4. I love this book so much, but I love all my books do much. This one is just so different I’m hoping that gives it a fighting chance…

this hardcore romantasy. It’s very refreshing to get back to my “roots” (most of the books I’ve written are contemporary YA)
Sometimes my students connect to my laptop when syncing their headphones. Today, I accepted the sync and started blasting Hamilton into their ears.

My favorite is “water will kill you” everyone who has ever drank water has died. I did this (along with others) to teach logical fallacies to my sophomores

Since it’s not a query day I managed to get over 2000 words into a manuscript. It’s really coming along so I guess I found my focus while I wait for replies…

I have my list of 100 agents to query.
Problem is, novel is 61,000 words.
Too short? Can I find a few thousand words to add in the next few weeks?!

I want to have it done by the end of the year so I can start querying when everyone opens back up.
Since July I’ve written 66,361 words in my projects. I’m bored at work (and I already wrote 2,500 today) so I messed around with Excel… huge change in focus after my meeting with @ericsmithrocks.bsky.social
