Some service members that have gone unpaid are being targeted by unscrupulous loan companies.

Although they will receive back pay, these loans are averaging around 18% interest.

That’s evil and outrageous but, also a byproduct of the government shutdown.

Young tankies were so butt hurt when the DNC didn’t adopt their resolution after two emendations that Ken Martin handed out tissues.

Yes and no. It doesn’t function as envisioned, and it’s been a while since Congress fulfilled its only real obligation.

We won’t end up with a budget, but there’s a lot to discuss before the nearly inevitable 11th hour CR/reconciliation.

Not an ideal way to function, but we manage.

Not without anything, but not without addressing key issues like the ACA. Forcing the House to reopen gives us time before the usual 11th hr. drama.

Republicans had a wake up call last Tuesday. DSA “progressives” should have had one, too. Leadership and negotiators have a lot to discuss privately.

Probably not today, but I imagine Congressional leadership and negotiators have a lot to talk about before 12/31.
