Secondly, he yearns for that little ray of solace of knowing that those who took his dad away from him are no longer in this world. Even if he has the wrong person on the cross hair.

This actually happens in the story! When Daniel is away, he leaves to Ryan the mission of ensuring Peter doesn't go totally nuts.

We don't have much of a Halloween tradition in Portugal, so I tend to forget this is a big thing ahah

But the only characters I imagine celebrating are Ryan and Melanie. Ryan will throw a Bi Pride flag over the shoulders and make a "I'm invisible" joke. Mel will go with a dark fantasy vibe.

It's kinda hard to answer this. The goals are a bit scattered, might have an underlying problem on the WIP. But also because it's a goal that only exists when Peter is in a certain mindset.

He wants to avenge his father's death, but also to go back to having a normal life.

Daniel is the best choice. I'm trusting his survival skills and bravery. I'm sure he would take it as a mission.

There's two main characters: the Howe twins Peter and Daniel.
Except for part 2, where Jonathan (the twins' cousin) takes the spotlight.
They all share the Strider genes: striking blue eyes.

Raw fear moves me, as TyJo sings.
Peter is terrified of repeating things that have gone wrong in the past. It's like the darkness is lurking and he avoids it. But also the fear of losing someone you care about, either due to death or relationships falling apart.

Daniel *needs* to win the argument.

Peter is competitive about some specific things, even though he knows he can't win.

Jonathan is downright a bad loser. He's only happy with a gold medal.

Then there's Ryan. He couldn't care less as long as he has fun. And fun might mean losing on purpose.

Music. Music helps me so much. Songs by Daughter set the mood for Peter.
I also remember the first ideas appearing after watching To Write Love on Her Arms.
And life imitates art, I guess.

Historically accurate scenes! I'd rather stay in the present times or times I lived.

Also, overly fluffy pink sappy romance. I always cringe. Got writer's block when I had to go through that part of my WIP

I cannot wait to read this, really.

The idea was to explore how life shapes your identity.
I also wanted to have two characters that would mirror each other and while sharing the same life, ended up with two completely different personalities. Hence the twins Daniel and Peter.

Daniel either hibernates or sleeps as light as a feather. No in between.
Peter is used to sleepless nights, even though he's better now. But he even had some sleep paralysis episodes.

Peter hates every season. Winter comes with the memories of their dad's death and his lowest moments. Summer comes with leaving his skin exposed.
Never thought about it for Dan 🤔 I guess he wouldn't like the gloomy weather for the same reasons as Peter and cause it's not good for outdoor activities

He's very low key about his goals and because of his cold straightforward personality others tend to think he doesn't care about anything other than his brother.

Jonathan is very ambitious. Gold or nothing.
Daniel might come across indifferent, but he's actually aiming to the top.
But Peter is just trying to get through each day, although he is competitive and likes to be challenged by Jonathan.

Daniel enlisted in the army, as of the latest chapters he's a cadet. He's following his dad's steps, which ends up being cathartic.

Peter is training and studying to become a riding instructor focused on horse aided therapy. Not all that relevant, but it still triggers some plot points.
