(1/3) Writing a fantasy book is easy. You just invent an entire universe, juggle fifteen kingdoms, three magic systems, and a prophecy that never contradicts itself. Simple.
In reality? You spend six hours researching medieval sewage systems because one character walks down an alley.

The wilds were an ever interconnected web of interactions. If you wanted fish in your lake or rivers, then the fish needed plants or insects or both to feed it and shade it, shelter it and nurture it, all of which had their own needs to fill.

Writing really is the healthiest hobby. Who doesn’t want to spend months obsessing over imaginary murders, deleting half their work at 3 a.m., and Googling things that would put them on an FBI watchlist? Nothing screams ‘well-adjusted adult’ quite like it. 😭
