❄️ CLC warming center closed. Under 100 addresses without power and NGrid is working to restore the rest.
❄️ Parking ban remains in effect. Announcements later today about any changes.
❄️ Clear sidewalks, crosswalk ramps, and hydrants of snow.

❄️ Parking ban still in effect; will not be lifted today.
❄️ Salem schools snow day tomorrow; City offices closed.
❄️ 70 DPW apparatus clearing roads today & overnight for a multi-day cleanup. HUGE thanks to DPW teams and first responders working to keep #SalemMA safe!
Storm update for #SalemMA (2/23, 12:45pm)
❄️ There are currently 507 addresses without power. If you lose power, call National Grid’s power outage line: 800-465-1212. Restoration delayed until after wind & snow subsides.
❄️ Stay off the roads.
❄️ This will be a multi-day clean up. Please be patient.

❄️ 5 outages currently impacting ~125 addresses. NGrid not able to attempt restoration until snow/wind subsides.
❄️ No flooding issues at overnight high tide.
❄️ Multiple cars stuck. Do NOT drive during the storm. You’ll put yourself and first responders in danger.

Today we held another Mobile Mayor’s Office, bringing our team out of #SalemMA City Hall & into the community.
We were set up at Witchcraft Heights Elementary School for the day, meeting with residents in the neighborhoods we serve. Thanks to the WHES team for hosting us & to all who stopped by!
Appreciated invite to the Essex County Fire Chiefs Assoc for their annual legislative breakfast yesterday.
#SalemMA is fortunate to have positive relationships with our region’s fire depts, ensuring a coordinated and thoughtful approach to ensure public safety in every community on the North Shore.
Last night the #SalemMA City Council adopted my proposal to enter into a formal Sister City connection with East Budleigh in the UK, birthplace of Salem founder Roger Conant.

Celebrated the opening of “Said In Stone” - new exhibition of Edmonia Lewis works at the Peabody Essex Museum in #SalemMA last night.

It was great to ring in the year at the Peabody Essex Museum’s Chinese New Year Family Day breakfast this morning, in partnership with the Shanghai Museum. Thanks to the teams from both museums for organizing it and sharing the culture and art of China with #SalemMA!

“What’s the downtown snow district in #SalemMa?”
Years ago the city designated parts of the downtown as a separate area for the start of snow emergency parking bans. These streets still get plowed but it gives flexibility when possible for those shopping or dining.
