Let’s be honest here, ICE has to be stopped before they can truly utilize the heinous amount of blood money they’re going to receive.

Many of the kids I work with can only cite money as a key determinant of success.

Just another reason why our priorities need to be redefined to not include the hoarding of wealth.

You can argue the weight and overall effectiveness of actions and choices.

That’s certainly fair.

But wouldn’t you agree that any stand against tyranny and injustice is worthy of respect?

Hell yeah man! I’ve yet to have crickets, but it seems like they’re supposed to be nutty in flavor.

Not everyone in this struggle will like what you say or how you fight.

Whether it’s your tone, your words, or your fervor. They’re still earnest choices.

Strengthened by a whole range emotions for a just and common goal.

When the trail’s rough, our choices aren’t always the stuff of malice.

A whole highly productive, and sometimes overly specific, English lexicon to draw from and the choice word was a lukewarm ‘removed.’

Definitely describes a situation where a man is dragged from a room, pinned down in the hallway, and then handcuffed against his will.

Wow…that’s really messed up.

I didn’t realize that contemplating whether or not an entire group of people should have basic human rights was being ‘moderate.’

That ‘centrist’ stand point is looking pretty rough there.

100% agreed.

I’ve read hundreds of messages on here, many of which were written in solidarity with the protesters and people of LA.

And frankly, I don’t have a nuanced message of my own.

Like many, I’m simply hoping for everyone to be safe as they continue fighting this tyranny face to face.

Agreed. In what context do they think these fascists are going to do anything but what they already plan to do?

And of course, wanting others to stay safe while navigating a violent attempt at occupation is a given, but at the same time policing the methodology of those in the thick of it isn’t it.

Exactly, they’ve already been ignoring the laws, the safeguards, and all checks and balances like it’s a full time job. And they’ve been doing so with a masked force decked out in tactical gear.

We’re already at the crackdown.

People trying to protect their neighbors are not the problem. The fact that some of you are thinking that way reflects a level of psychological capture & submission to fascism that you should interrogate. If they want an "excuse" to do something, they'll create one. The good guys aren't the problem.

There are definitely ways to completely lose your humanity.

One of them is to make a career out of kidnapping people off the streets while threatening those who dare stand against you.

Another one is thinking that the previous behavior is acceptable.

Something very nostalgic in me is really hoping for that TV trope moment where one of them eventually says something so harsh to the other that we all gasp in unison.

But reality is they’re despicable and have already done everything criminally possible so...yeah.

Shen always manages to brighten my day.

Can we go back to the timeline where pumpkin spice was a personality type?

Who knew how dangerous it would be when the phrase “I heard on the news…” turned into “I saw something online…”

And worse yet, when they finally became one in the same.

Some days, all you can manage to do is get a little bit more done on that important project of yours.

These aren’t deescalation tactics.

Weapons are being used on rightfully concerned citizens.

And no, the police aiding ICE kidnappings aren’t “just doing their jobs.”

Their passive compliance reinforces how “protect and serve” refers not to the people, but instead to the authoritarian agenda.

You don’t have to apologize to and or reconcile with gatekeepers, genre purists, or super fans who think your musical tastes should perfectly align with theirs.

Fuck it. Blast ska in full neon rave gear while you scream the lyrics to Pink Pony Club.

Anti-intellectualism is indeed reaching new heights. Hell, who needs oversight and peer review when you can just make it all up “in-house.”

Look forward to “cures” in the form of tl;dr narrative recipes with only four “natural” ingredients taken daily with a side of dewormer tablets.

They don’t get to disguise themselves anymore. The veil was already razor thin to begin with.

Their party’s garbage record is an inexhaustible laundry list of anti-progressive drivel fueled by hateful rhetoric and the blood dollars of history’s greediest lot.

As a self-identified TV dwelling horror who’s been recently grinding to get into elite smash, I can say with full honesty that I too might need to get my ass back in the TV realm.

Making art is often effortless cause it’s both fun and, when you don’t stress it, it tends to shape itself.

On the other hand, when it’s not easy it’s instead a train wreck where the crash site is the bottom of a lake. One of pure existential dread. A substance which just happens to be flammable.

Even talking to the void here on Bluesky is a lot nicer an experience than it was on Twitter.
