Anyhoo, enough of my sad sap. The youngest son's bedroom has been blitzed clean. It looks like it's been burgled. He's such a slob, and I shut the door on it... but every now and again I can't stand the mess and crack. Now it's time to hit the too big garden. I love gardening aka weeding; am weird.

I am home alone again today. I feel truly grateful for this solo time. I have had 8 days off from work, but six of those days my husband has been with me, or... Mr Bossy Pants Know It All My Way Or The Highway Fuckface Twat.

I am so pleased I no longer rent. It really is a bloody nightmare.

We were swimming in Lake Taupo last week. I love fresh water swimming.

The sea lice weren't too bad, to be fair. We showered immediately in fresh water and the mild sting eased immediately.

Lice free! It was refreshing. We went to Orewa beach yesterday. Not recommended. Sea lice, and it feels yuck from the most recent burst sewage pipe. Got to love Auckland! Peak summer, can't bloody swim.
