My heart aches for my grandchildren and their generation who have grown up in this era. They are either living in fear or are indoctrinated. Recovery will take generations. This trauma is now part of the US psyche.

Pretty much everyone on IG who has been carefully quiet about politics is speaking out.

It’s. Weird.

I’m not on there all that much, but I think people have finally been given social permission to say the uncomfortable thing.

I think they realize not speaking up will be read as acceptance.

I am proud of everyone who has taken an action to resist state violence and the war-dependent economy today.

I have seen so many comments of people confused about Walz use of “island”. Minnesota is obviously not a literal island so that would make it a figurative expression…

Something I keep coming back to is this —
we’re not always meant to fix what’s heavy.

I thought it was just a formality in these times to say we “voted” but it won’t hold the power it did before. They will just assign whomever they want to be in power like they do in other dictatorships.
