It’s just that very few tenants here actually file complaints, civil suits, etc. to hold landlords accountable. People are afraid and can’t afford rep.
Landlord attorneys know this, and so they continue to get away with illegal behaviors/acts

Jokes on them bc I keep in contact with my insurance company and already knew what my options were. I absolutely have a choice to go through CVS.

I caught @accredo.bsky.social lying to my medical provider about what my insurance plan will allow, in an attempt to try & force me to go through them.

Accredo *would* say the script can only be filled through them, they want the money.

They even went so far as to refuse to send the script to CVS

Landlords that are hellbent on attempting to ruin the credit scores and rental histories of their good tenants for no reason other than their own impatience and greed are truly scum of the earth.

When anyone asks or wonders why there’s a housing crisis, this is one of many factors that may not be readily apparent. Not to mention, there are -several- units available at this complex.

Landlords: *advertises a flex-pay option every single month*

Us: *uses the flex-pay option for the first time ever as tenants, with everything showing it’s gone through*

Landlord: *slaps us with late fees and a ‘Notice to Pay or Quit’ because their service hasn’t showed as paid on their end*

Also, the “store owner” replied to my Google review quite literally telling me to message Sam’s Club on Facebook…since when is that normal?! No email? No phone number? No way for a person to address this locally in any way when the manager didn’t know what to do? What about people who don’t use FB?

How much money is Sam’s Club making off of EBT recipients in fraudulent tax charges? Likely, a lot.

Sam’s Club doesn’t publicly share data about EBT spending at their locations, but if this has continued for 2+yrs and it’s absolutely illegal, then the only logical reason they wouldn’t fix it is $$$

How could I possibly trust that same manager to fix an EBT-related issue?

With extremely limited food funds & extremely limited funds overall, I can’t afford for mistakes to occur. I, nor other EBT recipients, deserve to be stolen from or have our groceries held hostage over illegal charges.

In my case, my options were either:
1. Pay the 3¢ w/ a debit card, or,
2. Cancel the transaction & switch to a register, risking funds not being transferred correctly and losing the food altogether

I didn’t have enough to cover the transaction twice, and if the manager couldn’t fix the tax issue…

There are plenty of people on Reddit who have noticed this, particularly when using Scan And Go. It happened to me while using Self-Checkout. The manager in my case had no idea why it was happening, or what to do.

Unfortunately, why the tax issue occurred isn’t readily apparent to most folx

A Sam’s Club receipt from 07/17/2025 showing 3¢ of tax being charged on an EBT eligible food purchase of $64.38. There is a $1 discount from a bag of chips shown on the receipt. EBT food purchases are tax-exempt. The only way a 3¢ tax would occur is because there is a 3.0000% tax on some food items in UT, and the “discount” of $1 seemingly wasn’t categorized correctly. Therefore, the program believes it is a taxable food item. The receipt also shows I paid the 3¢ via debit card, because I was essentially forced to.

Sam’s Club has knowingly been charging tax on discounted EBT eligible food items at locations throughout the U.S., at minimum, for the last two years.

I just received my proposed increase for my Medicare Supplement plan for 2026: it's almost $100 more per MONTH and a 17.9% INCREASE. That's $1,200 a year for someone like me, a person on a fixed income.

Unfortunately, OBGYNs through major healthcare systems like Providence, Swedish, Virginia Mason, University healthcare systems (UW included), etc. are practically impossible to get into as a non-pregnant person. Even urgent needs are met with months-long waiting lists.

PP is simply more accessible

Planned Parenthood also kept me safe as a SW’er with easy access to testing, contraceptives, and routine reproductive health screenings.

All of my PAP smears have been through Planned Parenthood, even though I haven’t done SW in several yrs.

I wholeheartedly trust them more than a regular OBGYN

I was in the hospital for a week with multiple organ failure and ended up with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension for the rest of my life.

Had Planned Parenthood not removed that awful medical device, my current medical team is convinced I wouldn’t have survived its continued major complications.

I credit Planned Parenthood with saving my life by removing my Nexplanon implant when my OBGYN refused to.

Nexplanon caused massive complications for me— including, but certainly not limited to: an ectopic pregnancy, subsequent miscarriage, and a massive PE that nearly permanently off’d me.
