There's a certain amount of accepted ridiculousness that makes ALL OF THIS feel like a simulation. People were calling baristas essential workers and complaining they couldn't get a haircut or go to a bar in a pandemic that has (present tense because...) killed over a million people to date

Some people value exclusivity and look down on what's accessible. I'm guessing that's the target audience.
