SHADOWS Occasionally I walk alongside shadows I rejected long ago, to discern whether or not they are able to keep step with me. It may be weakness, or indulgence, or cheap flirtation with habits and situations I opted to no longer defend. But each time I test myself, and find those old shadows chronically out of step with my new way of walking, I edge a little closer to freedom. Louise Claire

I lit a candle for Pope Francis at St. George's Cathedral in Southwark today. He was a much-needed voice for the poor and for migrants, for love and acceptance, for justice and peace, and I will miss him. With gratitude for his leadership, and prayers that his successor will continue his work. ❤️

As a Brit who loves Canada (which Brit doesn't?), this gave me a little moment of childish joy. 😅❤️🇨🇦🇬🇧

Honestly, as a primary school teacher, children know what's up! They are so compassionate, so switched-on, so brave, so idealistic (in the best way), so quick to spot injustice and to call it out. It's a privilege to be around their beautiful chaos and goodness every day. ❤️
