The Evermaskers
The isolation of people who take precautions against COVID has only gotten more intense.
"The COVID-conscious people have not abandoned science, Itβs the opposite: Theyβve come to think that science has abandoned them."
People who are taking precautions, some of whom are immunocompromised, should not be mocked or discriminated against

Attached: 1 image Β· Content warning: SARS-CoV-2 "DeFLiRT" variant - LB.1 with Spike S31del mutation
The new SARS-CoV-2 "FLiRT" lineage LB.1 (descended from JN.1.9.2) has acquired the Spike S31del mutation so becoming a "DeFLiRT".
At present this seems the most likely successor to the currently-dominant "FLiRT" KP.2 and "FLuQE" KP.3.

Chart: COVID-19 Wastewater Levels by US State (April 2024)
UPDATE: COVID wastewater levels are low in most US states.
If you've been holding off on healthcare or other activities, now is one of the best times of the year to go.
Note that even in low periods you are still at risk of COVID exposure, so it makes sense to take precautions.

Letter from UK Statistics Authority to Ellie Reeves MP 27 March 2024 - main content;
The ONS collects information on the labour market status of individuals through the Labour Force Survey. Responses allow us to identify how many people are not working and not seeking work due to long-term illnesses or disability. Health conditions collected are based on broad groupings of how a condition might affect an individual, rather than focussing on specific conditions or diagnoses.
November 2023 to January 2024 there were an estimated 2.7 million people in UK who not working or seeking work due to long-term sickness or disability. Not possible to say how many of these were due to long COVID.
The most recent estimate from the Covid Infection Survey of the number of people not working or looking for work, who self-reported as having long COVID was 375,000 in July 2022.
Professor Sir Ian Diamond
Cabinet Office question from Ellie Reeves MP asking for the no. people in UK currently out of work due to #LongCovid. Answer given:
π΄ Most recent estimate July β22 - 375,000.
π΄ Nov 23-Jan 24 - 2.7m not working/seeking work due to long-term sickness/disability. Canβt say how many due to LC.

Guess who is marking their 4th Covid anniversary a.k.a. coronaversary with Long Covid today?
The ONS stopped counting us in the UK at 1.9 million almost a year ago, as that looks better than 2 million, but people are not recovering, and more with newly acquired Long Covid are joining us every month.

Opinion | Where Did Covid Come From?
New documents bolster theΒ theory that it not only escaped from a laboratory but was developed in one.
In the 4 years since the SARS-CoV-2 virus was unleashed on the world, data have steadily accumulated supporting the hypothesis that it emerged from a laboratory. The latest information, released last month, makes a formidable case that the virus is the product of laboratory synthesis, not of nature.

You have to have your kidney function tested in a lab to be diagnosed with kidney disease. You have to have a reason for that & most people donβt because of how late symptoms show. So a lot of people donβt know they are in a stage of kidney disease.

The are lots of depressing things about the school that couldnβt open because so many teachers have C*vid, but top of the list has to be that some of those teachers may now be harmed for life because of it and it was all completely preventable.
