A similar, smaller scale thing just happened in the Josephine County (OR) GOP. A bunch of county leaders and precinct captains quit the GOP and formed a group called “United Conservatives.” The OR GOP currently has no official organization in the county.

I went to #vote this morning and as always Dottie got to proudly wear the sticker.

In other news, I have been faced with the fact that I am a pathetic old queen: a handsome young fireman appeared at the firehouse where I voted and I became utterly discombobulated in front of the poll workers. 😭🤣

This conjured up for me the memory of seeing 1776 as a kid of 14 many decades ago, and the magic of the scrim at the end of the show which melded Trumbull's famous "Declaration of Independence" painting with a tableau vivant of the same. The effect literally made me gasp.
