It's nuts that the Switch version expanded the soundtrack that much. I mean, 10 additional hours of music. I don't think I realized just how much bigger the OST got.

After all, Pikmin games are basically set up in modern world locations, collecting modern objects. If the Mario humans are from "our world" and Pikmin is about traveling to distant planets that resemble "our world," I can see the vision.

The objects moving seemingly on their own would make more sense being her powers of gravity manifesting. But even if it's supposed to be a Pikmin tease, I think it's more likely that Pikmin are just gonna be in the movie rather than teasing a Pikmin 5.

The first Mario movie established that human characters come from "our world," and with the new movie being Galaxy-themed and this baby looking exactly like Rosalina (color of clothes and rattle, hair, hair style, eye color, even the clock design)... it seems like a teaser short for the movie.

I understand why people think Pikmin is involved, and I'm not saying it's not... but completely ignoring how this child is blatantly modeled after Rosalina is baffling to me. It seems more likely that the Pikmin leitmotif is unintentional than this having nothing to do with the new Mario movie.

I wouldn't put it past Nintendo that Pikmin are just gonna be in the Mario movie.

Plus the animation style and the fact all human characters come from "our world" in the films points pretty heavily to this being a short promoting the Mario Galaxy movie. And knowing Nintendo, Pikmin could just... be in the movie for some reason. They've randomly been in Mario games before.
