Do Yankees/Jets fans even exist? If so, they’re having an unequivocally miserable day. And no, I’m not gloating; it’s an even worse existence for Mets/Jets fans (long suffering both here).

Same to you-and I hope Stearns takes the opportunity to atone for the shoddy pitching rotation he put together.

RIP Jane Goodall. A trailblazer and personal hero, she led with grace, compassion and unrivaled intellectual curiosity. And, of course, we live in a world that desperately needs more people like Dame Jane. May she rest in peace.

Not terribly excited by the moves and trading my current favorite (Kreider) but hope they prove me wrong. I don’t expect them to languish for 4 months to end the season like the Mets did.

Hopefully it’s a fun season!

I think it’s because this season played out so different from last season and vastly different from what was expected. This team lacked: great vibes, solid and consistent pitching, and clutch hitting leading to late-inning comebacks.

This one hurts

It would have been a little easier to take if they were playing with a sense of urgency. Yet the offense came out flat and very likely they’re going to be shut out. I am actually stunned by the lack of quality ABs.

I generally don’t like suggesting a person should be fired. However, if the Mets get shutout in a do-or-die game against a mediocre team, then Mendy and his coaching staff need to go. #metssky

In light of Pete’s reveal after yesterday’s game that he used Lindor’s eye black, Soto’s socks and Nimmo’s lotion, I’m borrowing items from the friends I’m playing pickleball with now and will have them on for the Mets game today. I’m also begging the Brewers to take care of the Reds #lgm #metssky

Shocked Taylor isn’t starting. However, Mullins is 4-9 against Alcantara while Taylor is hitless in 6 ABs. That’s probably why they went in that direction. I hope they know what they’re doing.

True. Though if you look at the teams in his no-trade clause, it’s quite telling since most every one of them is a contender and/or big market team.

Agreed but if memory serves, the Mets are among the teams cited in his no-trade clause.

Yuck! Normally I wouldn’t insult anyone’s looks though he’s ugly inside and out. Chalk it up to my frustration over the Mets’ predicament.

He’s the least qualified HHS Secretary we’ve ever had and it’s not even close. I’d rather trust science than a conspiracy theorist with a brain worm that looks like a catcher’s mitt that was microwaved for an hour.

Why do the Mets always seem to play down to their competition? And could someone remind them of Irvin’s ERA?

Peterson can still have a Quality Start if the game goes 18 innings and he pitches perfectly for the rest of the game. 🙄

I assure you the boos were scattered, at best. I think most real fans know last night’s debacle isn’t on Tong. It was one of the worst games I’ve ever been to and I frankly I don’t want to endure that again this season.
