There's been constitutional stress since January 20th, but sending National Guard troops to Portland in defiance of a (Trump-appointed) judge's ruling that such a mobilization is unlawful puts America close to--if not right at--the point of constitutional crisis.

In balancing the equities in these removal cases, they've come down each time in favor of the harms to the president involved in keeping someone on he doesn't want. So to leave her in her job for four months is a weighty thing on the scale if she's ultimately going to lose.
