50. Read PhD and MA theses when you are doing research. There is so much great scholarship by people who never got the opportunity to publish their research as a book.

40. Google Translate is great for getting the gist of documents in another language but it is no substitute for translation by an expert. Pay someone to do it properly or collaborate with them.

34. Interdisciplinary research is encouraged in the abstract by many, but there are fewer outlets for very interdisciplinary projects

This is good research karma imo - my equivalent would be volunteering to be a research participant, answering a survey or participating in an interview. Paying it forward 🥰
