‘He is a great being, the god of the whole elemental kingdom as well as of the animal, vegetable and mineral kingdoms. People may feel uneasy in his presence, but there ought to be no fear.’ — ROC, ‘The Gentleman and the Faun’ (Findhorn, 2009), p. 21.

I long to walk through the forests again,
To feel the green beneath my feet,
To see you bow and dance
And feel the peace and light.
Within the green tall pines and large cedars,
I see him there, as the drum plays

The Deer God..
Quiet and ever watchful.

I believe that in this context it has to do with Wepwawet’s role as “Opener of The Way”. :)

This particular figure lacks provenance, but is very similar to figures found at Deir el Bahari in association with other Middle Kingdom and Eighteenth Dynasty offerings to Hathor. It is made of hard red clay. Unlike many earlier ‘mother-goddess figures’ she does not cup her breasts nor raise her arms above her head. Her arms hang beside her body, more in the manner of a servant statue. She wears an elaborate wig that is parted to fall over each shoulder, and which is quite elaborately dressed at the back. She wears a circlet with some sort of adornment above her forehead, and with three wide streamers at back. Like many such figures, she is steatopygous. Her wide hips and pubic triangle are emphasized, and her small breasts are outlined with a series of dots. The dots may represent tattoos. Her face is merely a pinch in the clay with no features beyond a beak or nose. Unlike many of her sisters, this statuette has small feet to stand on at the bottom on her legs. She is also unusual in being intact, with no sign of deliberate breakage.

Speaking as both a devotee of Dionysus and a person who has worked in the cannabis industry both as a budtender and a grower, I don’t see it as a competition. Dionysus hides within many intoxicants, in varying ways. There are many paths to ecstasy. 🙏

Eating of the fruit can have a profound meaning when combined with the symbology of the pentagram that the witch/pagan subscribes to. Be well and eat apples

In modern Paganism the apple is often viewed as a revelatory fruit that offers blessings, abundance and magic. When the apple is cut horizontally the seeds within are in the shape of a 5 pointed star, the pentagram.
