Back end of a Tufted titmouse with a crooked tail that curves left clearly visible. It's on a snowy table with sunflower seeds
A downy woodpecker, tufted titmouse with a crooked tail, and a chickadee enjoying seeds on a snowy table.
Chickadee with a seed moving left and Crooked Tail the Tit is looking at the camera - normal bird from the front
2 tufted titmice turned away from the camera, their regularly straight tails visible for comparison to Crooked Tail the Tit
Has anyone ever seen a Tufted Titmouse with a crooked tail? This guy has been coming by often. Not the most dominant but also not submissive, so it's not necessarily affecting his standing with the group. We affectionately call him Crooked πͺΆ

Big, bright, hazey full moon over lit houses on the edge of a pond and up a hilly landscape in winter. Bare tree branches and clouds fill the sky around the moon.
Pin-point hazey full moon over lit houses on the edge of a pond and up a hilly landscape in winter. Bare tree branches and clouds fill the sky around the moon.
This was taken with "night mode" on - lights are clearer as is the bright star just right of center at the top of the image.
The moon tonight is beautiful and worth the biting cold to get a photo

2 tufted titmice helping me measure the amount of snow thus far. One sits on top of a snowy table with the edge shoveled off. The other stares down at the peanuts on the table while standing on the less snowy bit. If the Tits are about 4" tall, there's probably about 5" of snow.
A chickadee eats a nut between its feet on a snowy table. Its head seems bent at more than 90 degrees down from looking forwards - I can't do that
3 Tufted Titmice are eating peanuts on a snowy porch with a table. One is blurry on the floor, another is on the table, the third is in flight between the two.
A chickadee flies across a snowy table likely about to land in the snow. It's feet extend forwards (left in image) while its blurred wings are back and up with its tail perpendicular to the table (right).

If you treat them with calm and respect, you can reach an understanding with paper wasps. Excellent for garden pest control; won't sting familiar, well-behaved humans. Yes, quite intelligent :)

Squirrel nests are quite nasty. We had an old oak tree removed and found out half it's trunk was full of layered squirrel bedding and poop. So. Much. Stinking. Poop.

I'm curious what industry this is... can only think of a night club, or a sexy virtual call center with mood lighting, or a virtual lip reading club making some sense. In any of those, I'd also like the men to wear lipstick or else they'll look like lipless monsters

A tufted titmouse - grey back, white breast, orange stripe under the wings between them - cocks its head slightly left looking at the camera. It is on a shoveled table path surrounded by snow taller than its head. Bird prints are visible all around.
It wants me to know there are no seeds on the table, and this is a problem. Later, it kicked my window to emphasize this was a big problem
Happy new year! πͺΆ

Crow footprints in snow with landing spot at the bottom right, and walking pattern moving away and left before circling to the right.
Bear footprint in snow with 4 toe marks clearly outlined. The pinky and 4th toes seem to be merged into one bigger blob.
Opossum footprint in snow. 5 fingers are clearly visible from left front and back paws adjacent to one another.
Fisher cat print in snow on a log. 5 toes are outlined with claw points visible. This was a sizeable guy who liked walking on top of fallen logs and marking areas with ample urine after the fresh snow - we followed the tracks for about a quarter mile.

Aurora possible again tonight. Could be even more spectacular than last night.
11 States on power grid alert. Oregon, Idaho, Montana, South Dakota, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, New York, Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine.
Maine had some grid power transformers blow out last night . If the clouds clear out enough and early enough, tonight could be epic.

Tues 8:50PM:
A G4 magnetci storm is in progress and aurora is visible all the way to North Carolina. If you have any clearing, use your phone and check it out. Its lighting up the clouds even. In Missouri, its clear and lighting up the snow on the ground.

I thought they had a pot of money set aside specifically for SNAP in case of a shutdown like this. From what I understood, it's solely at the president's discretion to use this money and he can only use it for this purpose. Not sure how anyone can legally compel him to do it though...

Tell me how you deal with data input/output so the algorithm doesn't make things up or omit key info. Give me an example of its work that you have verified independently.
If your answer to my complaint that "it lies" is a shrug or a "yes, but..." this discussion isn't worth my time
