A quote tweet of Cremieux a pseud who "tweets about race & genetics" see here for more background on Cremieux/Lasker: https://www.theguardian.com/us-news/2025/mar/03/natal-conference-austin-texas-eugenics Text reads: "The widget pictured below gives you the expected range of predicted IQs (or disease risks) for the number of embryos. The difference between the average and the highest gives you the expected gain in IQ if you were selecting the embryo with the highest predicted IQ. "
The startup named Herasightm after the goddess who threw her disabled child off a mountain, seems focused on public outreach using embryo selection for IQ to win over far rightwing pseuds & techbros

Disappointed to see some folks who do good work involved at various levels.
Can't ever be wrong if they only ever predict risk. The perfect grift

“A whole classroom of children killed every day for nearly two years,” UNICEF’s executive director said.

Alex Strudwick Young @AlexTISYoung · 3h The widget pictured below gives you the expected range of predicted IQs (or disease risks) for the number of embryos. The difference between the average and the highest gives you the expected gain in IQ if you were selecting the embryo with the highest predicted IQ. The spread does not depend on the mean you choose. The mean IQ you put in is actually the genotypic mean IQ of the parents (as we state) as we didn't want to get into the complexities of modeling regression to the mean in this widget, although we do of course model regression to the mean in our customer reports. We will be detailing rigorous validation of our IQ predictor in an upcoming publications, along with lots of other exciting science. -Quote tweeting the nazi Jordan Lasker (Cremieux) saying: "The latest embryo selection company is live, and guess what: They're publicly letting people select for IQ!"
New snake oil just dropped
And proudly boosting the nazi approval, bold business strategy!
If ~40yos are already BCa/PCa cancer survivors I don't think a PGS will screen better than looking for coding variation at BRCA--and if 50yo+ are doing IVF I worry that increased mutations ~might~ play a larger role than expected. But hey, I'm not after that sweet sweet VC and IQ money
31.07.2025 01:52 — 👍 2 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I'll have to take a more careful look at their simulations and how risk was calculated, but at first glance it seems ~okay~. I think my primary issue is that so much of how these are being used are at odds with how it could work in practice.
31.07.2025 01:52 — 👍 1 🔁 0 💬 1 📌 0I wonder if this is the best potential outcome, as little will likely be used for the implied domestic terror and the govt (when run by Ds at some point) can prosecute and seize funds

Consequences will not be felt today, but 5 year, 10 years down the road, when you're diagnosed with cancer, and you need a new clinical trial to hop onto, or a new drug to let you watch your grandkids grow up, they won't exist. Why would anyone choose to side with cancer against humanity? 🧪
