"Attending BSEcho 2024 in person was a truly inspiring experience. As my first-ever physical conference, it exceeded all expectations, offering an invaluable opportunity to connect with peers, learn from leading experts, and immerse myself in the latest advancements in echocardiography. The insights shared throughout the conference were not only motivating but have already begun to influence my day-to-day practice significantly."

Haven't attended a BSE conference before? A little nervous? BSEcho 2025 will offer a warm welcome!

Having a moment over what must be the most watched Barkley clip of all time. What strikes me, beyond the outstanding courage & elite performance from Jasmin, is the wonderful support & joy we see from Konrad, who urges her to the end & then retreats for her to have her moment 🌟

Early morning commute accompanied by 50th birthday playlist. A mix of my beloved goth/metal, 90's dance music, and a few bangers that have meant something over the years. You can't beat a playlist that moves from New Model Army (Thunder and Consolation) to Faithless (Insomnia) to get you energised!

My dad was tortured by the Gestapo for 4 days and thrown in a concentration camp for being in the Norwegian Resistance. Growing up, he would tell me things he learned in the Resistance. I thought, I'm never going to need this stuff. Here's some of those things #Thread

The way out of this mess is actually quite simple, but will take time.

It's in books.

It's in education.

It's in giving our children and young people the tools, the knowledge and the space they need to build a better world.

We can help & guide them, but that world is theirs to create, not ours.

For 5 years, we had fabulous engagement with our members and the echo community on Twitter. For many reasons, that has diminished. We're hoping to engage with our echo and cardio community here now, too. #echo

"Lower turnover rates for nurses and senior doctors at hospital level were associated with better health outcomes for patients with emergency hospital admissions."
The question for me is why we have to keep spelling this out.

A lovely run to get the weekend started! Should have been doing Conwy Half this weekend, but a dodgy hamstring has put paid to that! So a gentle 5k around Letchworth will have to do. The last km to Halo (Soil) and Bodies (Drowning Pool) were a little less gentle and a lot of fun!
