I have had a blast with Traveller 2e these past few years, but the oldest edition of Traveller I have played/run is Traveller the New Era (the black sheep of the Traveller family), so I cannot offer much insight as to how the original might compare.

Cover to the omnibus of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Black Panther run.

Today's vacation reading was from Wakanda. I had only read a preview of the first issue of Ta-Nehisi Coates' Black Panther, back in 2016, and was aware of the hype (and its influence on the BP film), but was not prepared for how incredible this series was, nor the jaw dropping twist for series 2.

I am already as much in love with Jack (the lead), his father (Ted, the Golden Age Starman), the Shade (my all-time favorite "overly erudite and loquacious villain"), and the rest of Opal City's inhabitants as I was in the 90s, and cannot wait to see where life takes them all.

I'm 9 issues in on my "one issue a night" re-read of James Robinson's Starman and I'm delighted by how well it holds up. This was my favorite ongoing from the first post-Zero Hour issue, but life got in the way of reading the series on a regular basis, so I have never read it all the way through.

This one flew completely under my radar, but fans of Sandman Mystery Theatre, Lobster Johnson, or the last decade of The Shadow comics will find a lot to love in this mini-series written by Dan Jurgens, drawn by the Mike Perkins, and colored by Mike Spicer (and published at Golden Age dimensions).
