More on our important election here in GA. Early voting has started. There are 2 commissioners positions in the ballot. Don’t like how high your power bills have gotten? This is a chance to vote for 2 people that can stand up to GA Power!!

Grid scale batteries are changing our electricity system. Excellent new visual story on batteries in FT today shows just how far this technology has evolved.

Fasten your seatbelts, this is just the beginning.

Agree. Gerrymandering has ruined American government and made it far less representative and functional

Who wants cooking your food to poison you? If you are in CA, reach out to governor’s office to let them know you would rather not have PFAS with your eggs :)

Without great, safe bike infrastructure and our e-bikes we would have driven 10,000 extra miles around Atlanta over the last 5-ish years. And needed a second car, at great expense. Instead we saved money, are happier and healthier due to the exercise. Revolution is right.

We watch the sun rise, talk about the changing leaves, notice the people out walking. In short, far more connected to our community than if we just drove our car into our garage. Our e-bikes have made our lives measurably better. This has been enabled by great, safe bike infrastructure.

We count the many dogs some days and can watch as a new business is building out their space, watching for progress until the β€œopen sign” finally appears, as recently happened with an ice cream shop along our route. Then, kids super excited to try out the new place (we have gone 2 times in 1 week).

For example, I don’t know my neighbors better nor feel more connected to my broader community in an ev. On my ebike, we often pass friends and neighbors, saying hello and even riding together sometimes. We also wave to strangers, talk to them as we wait for the light to change.

Totally agree. Getting an ebike changed not only the way I get around atlanta, but my experience and relationship with the city, for the much better to be clear. Ebikes are revolutionary while EVs are a small (but important) shift in the current system.

My kiddo got an American girl doll desk with a computer gift meant to represent 1999: when you click the keyboard it makes the dial up sound. Did not realize how much that sound would bring me back to that time.

How much did investors pay for the Krog Street Market district? A lot. The price makes the sale one of the most expensive commercial real estate transactions of the past few years in Atlanta.

Know what's even crazier than the $186M investors paid for Krog Mkt #GApol?
The $36M that Fulton county values it at.
That appraisal malfeasance costs us all $2.5M a year. And it's typical for trophies.
You wish your home was appraised at 20% of what it sells for.

Feel free to attribute the following to a former OMB General Counsel: The supposed "new legal analysis" is, to use a technical legal term, horseshit. What the law actually says is that when Congress enacts a law ending a lapse, furloughed employees get paid at the earliest date possible. Period.

Even if the US is a disaster, we are making progress globally: renewables generated more power than coal for first 6 months of 2025. Yes, we need to pick up the pace, AND we still need to celebrate the progress we have made.
