In college football, the 12 playoff teams are spread across 10 states, and the largest metro areas represented are Dallas, Austin, Phoenix, and Atlanta. The state of Indiana has two teams, while New York and California each has none.

In the NFL, the top teams (those with 4 or fewer losses) are Kansas City, Pittsburgh, Buffalo, Detroit, Minnesota, Philadelphia, and Green Bay. These are mostly small metro areas, spread around the country.

This is the most 2014-Twitter platform I’ve found yet, which is the highest compliment I can give.

Pair this with a Ghost Runner rule if the Golden AB batter’s spot in the order comes up while he’s still on the bases as a runner. Imagine Shohei calling out “Ghost Runner on 2nd” while jogging from 2nd base to the plate to hit again.

And then hopefully find a way to sit right there without the bots and rage bait etc. that overtook Twitter/X over the last decade.

It’s so refreshing to see my timeline full of interesting links from people again, and I hope they really keep that openness.

BlueSky feels like Twitter 2009 right now. Basic tools, some fascinating people, good conversations, but it’s a pretty small tribe. Hoping the next few months will see it reach some sort of scale like Twitter 2014.

First Clemson game in the books for us. Won’t be the last.

I love Lord of the Rings and Game of Thrones. I watched season 1 of both Rings of Power and House of the Dragon and thought they were both meh. I haven’t watched season 2 of either show.

Should I watch one, the other, both, or neither?

Yes. It’s especially refreshing to see links throughout my timeline again after most other platforms have penalized those.
