"Framework" semantics get in the way of progress way too much with React and I'm really tired of the "you must be this tall" narative from react.dev. Tools that drastically aid you to be productive with React deserve a seat at the table. Vite is just the obvious start among many other tools.

I find the shadncn setup to be pretty well made ui.shadcn.com/themes

It’s still annoying, you have to mess around with line height values and it changes according to the used font.

everyone saying to disable translation entirely is technically right but damn it you use stand to lose a bunch of users if your website isn't properly internationalized

I feel your fear of having to setup an entirely different dev environment on a completely different os.
Although I’m a self proclaimed expert on the matter as I work with all major operating systems, so I’m around if you need any help.
Also use windows 10 and please avoid w11 if you can.

It’s better for your sanity to simply get a windows laptop.
Avoid laptops with NVIDIA gpus to avoid issues with Linux.

i swear the same people that complain are the ones who have mcafee anti virus, avast browser protector, and some offbrand anti virus tool. all at the same time

actually that cpu burst can be related to task manager opening up. especially if you have a lot of bloat.

those are the type of people that install Avast when they have Windows defender and don't use ad blockers. then they complain their computer is slow.

because updates shouldn't be interrupted as that can cause file corruption.
it can take 5 mins because that's probably a graceful shutdown.

blame bad devs, not the tech.
