That's where your bright and happy children went. You snuffed out their candles and still expected them to shine.
I guess that's what I miss. We talk about 'how do I make friends as I get older' and I can still keenly remember doing that at a distance by simply sharing. Not in competition with an algorithm... but because people found each other and got to know each other through journals.

I made many true friends there. I learned a lot about myself and the lived experiences of others. It wasn't clickbait or anger farming.

(It still exists but... there are some layers of problems there.) It definitely made it easier to think back on the year. I could, I suppose, start actually journaling. But that is only one facet.
