The Sims is 24 today! The Sims shaped my life in so many ways. So to celebrate 24 years of The Sims I painted some Sims inspired illustrations today. Done in watercolour.

December was spent with my son in the hospital, and so I wasn't online much (and tbh I didn't care). Now that we're home again, I'm kinda sad I missed out on all the new EP hype. I'll get back into it eventually but I'm also still recovering. Did I miss anything in the community while I was away?

I'll also ask him about it later, but we had an eventful month (and that is quite the understatement: bsky.app/profile/rosi... ) so we're currently recovering/resting. But we're both Spore fans, so if he can do it, I'm sure he'll look into it eventually.

Levi name garland I crafted before he was transported to the UMC WKZ Children's Hospital, and the Freezer Bunny I sewed whilst he was in the ICU.

On the upside, at the ICU, I managed to finish his Freezer Bunny plushie, for which he himself chose the fabrics/patterns before all of this went down. In the picture are his, and his brothers' Freezer Bunny plushies. When he woke up in the ICU and he saw the bunny, that was the best smile ever. ❤

but our son isn't fully healed yet. He's been a lot worse. But he's barely eating and drinking and he's in pain. This Christmas isn't like any other we've had. But at least we were home together, and not at the hospital, something he (and his brothers) really wanted. And he's smiling/joking again.

I wanted to write a short "life update" because my December has been hell, with our youngest rushed from one hospital to another, ending up on the ICU and us having to stay in another city and the Ronald McDonald house for weeks, with our other boys at home. We arrived home right before Christmas,

I remade a ton of Sims 2 homes for TS3 and TS4. And TS1 as well. I do love TS4 though and I don't really hate TS3 but it was never really "my" version of The Sims, if that makes sense.

Same for me with TS3! Because of my site and the invites to EA I did write articles and I did try TS3. But I kinda disliked it at first. Only after a lot of packs were added did I like building in it (but never really got into gameplay in TS3). I continued playing TS2 for a long time as well.

The only thing I really hate about autumn is that I get sick. I've been sick for a week now, and I'm not getting any work done, or any building/creating in The Sims. Pfff. I'm only sleeping and playing Animal Crossing at this point 🤷‍♀️

This is a legit bug and not a cc/mod issue
