New YouGov polling. That’s a peak for the Greens. Amazing how a good communicator with vision can turn around a party’s fortunes.

RFM: 27% (+1)
LAB: 17% (-3)
CON: 17% (=)
GRN: 16% (+1)
LDM: 15% (=)

Also Labour’s lowest in a YouGov poll.

Britain's housing market has been broken by years of government inaction on building genuinely affordable homes, exploitative landlords, rip-off rents and stagnant wages.

We urgently need rent controls and the biggest council house building programme in generations to end this crisis.

Five Reform UK councillors booted out of party in Kent It comes after a damaging video leak of the Kent County Council leader shouting and swearing.

To lose one KCC councillor, Mr. Farage, may be regarded as a misfortune; to lose five looks like carelessness.

James O'Malley v @jamesomalley.co.uk
& Muted by "A Very British Bigotry"
I fully accept that things are Not Good at the moment for the Labour Party, and I personally find some of the more Blue Labour stuff a bit grim, but I'd like to hear someone explain what the strategy should be that results in the government retaining a majority.
Will Jennings @drjennings.bsky.social β€’ 1h
It's increasingly obvious that Labour's strategy - call it Starmerism, Blue Labour, whatever - has got it badly wrong. It has alienated the party's core vote while failing to win over those leaning to Reform. There was no shortage of people warning them they were getting it wrong either.

It is not our fucking job to worry about Labour maintaining a majority when they’re a bad government.

Just 7000 more GPs needed because recruitment doesn’t mean retention

2500 is number recruited but only 1500 (1000 full time equivalent) retained

But worse other GP roles cut as no funding for practices

You can’t make it up! Unless you’re Wes Streeting, DHSC & Labour spin β€˜doctors’

β€œNHS reforms our worst mistake, Tories admit” front page of the Times from 13 Oct 2014

The Times front page from exactly 11 years ago. Those Tory reforms wasted Β£50B over a decade and ushered in the greatest assault on public health in NHS history. Experts warned them. They refused to listen. That’s why the Tories are done. Labour should take note.

Very informative discussion with Gordon Brown and the leading child poverty charities yesterday about the urgent need to lift the 2-child benefit cap.

Doing so would lift half a million children out of poverty.

One of the best parts of my job since the election was getting to know and supporting our brilliant new MPs make their mark. They are our strength.

See why so many are voting for me to be Deputy Leader.

I thought about that for a while but in honesty I just dont think that's the case- I think they genuinely think their stupid ideology is correct and somehow that's worse than the idea they're just cynical wankers.

I watched several documentaries about life in the 1970s & β€˜80s & what struck me most was how people looked so much older than their years then. It was also striking in Britain & Ireland that people’s views were almost all centre left & informed by solidarity.

I really want this government to succeed, but despite early achievements, we aren’t being heard.

I would be a strong independent choice for Deputy Leader, working full time, championing our movement and government.
