Probably gonna have to stop collecting every physical Ys release. With three versions of this and four of Ys X, I can’t afford to buy these things just to have them. I’ll get the collector’s edition of this for Switch and call it a day.

I would rather the series permanently end with The Lost Age if it meant Dark Dawn didn’t exist. I wouldn’t mind it so much if we kept getting new games, but to have a whole RPG where nothing happens then end on an unresolved cliffhanger is ridiculous.

It’s tough to follow up a perfect video game (WLK), but I think this one is pretty good. Definitely worth picking up for $40, and I’m already enjoying it more than Beautiful and Forever.

I played about six stages last night, and it feels the most like a direct follow-up to WLK of any Katamari since. The opening is a little too busy and tutorial heavy, and the writing isn’t *quite* as snappy, but the charm is there and the game is fun.

Visually speaking, this is my favorite one. I love the circle motif, I love seeing all the scenes from the arc coming together, and I love the little Gear 5 Luffy running through the logo at the end.

Impel Down and Marineford are miserable to watch, partially because the adaptation was not great at the time, but also because focusing solely on Luffy for over 100 episodes was *rough*. I love Luffy, but he can’t carry this story on his back.

OP works best when more members of the crew are present

I love this song, but man oh man, I have *never* liked Marineford and I never cared about Ace. I just don’t feel the story did a good job making Ace feel important until *this arc*.

For me personally, it also marks a shift in how I watched the show. Up through Skypeia, I had watched the Funimation dub, but back in 2011, none of the episodes from LRLL-Sabaody were available officially in English. So I watched fansubs. Thankfully, the subs I had for this arc were very good.

I love the OP starting with the crew falling from Skypeia. That, plus the widescreen shift and cold opens really makes it feel like the show is entering a new era. This is when OP as a show started feeling like it was truly something *big* for me.

Without question, this is my favorite One Piece OP. I adore the song, I adore the visuals, and I adore both Long Ring Long Land and Water 7.

It is, from what I can recall, also the only OP that features a cold open, and I *love* cold opens.

I like my PS5. I feel like I get a level of performance out of it that made the upgrade from PS4 worth it. Biggest issue with PS4/Switch was load times, and PS5/NS2 address that well enough.

What does a PS6 have left to offer?
