That makes sense! I would only apply this logic to those in the regime though. For normal citizens, I would recommend using the Two Handed Non Violence Approach.

This is an interesting point! At a nonviolence training tonight, we discussed that publicly humiliating figures in power can be a beneficial tool as authoritarian regimes often think highly of themselves. These humiliating tactics can reduce their egos and their power if done consistently.

Is there any hope for the internet? The author of the new book ‘Attention and Alienation’ wonders if the online world can ever become a place where kindness and human flourishing are the prevailing ethos.
