The petition, if successful, would simply require that MRI manufacturers share the information about large projectiles *that they already know about* with the FDA. This would create no additional investigation obligations.

The FDA CDRH is moving slowly in consideration of the petition that calls for large magnetic projectiles in MRI to be identified as a mandatory reporting incident. This gives more people time to sign-on, endorsing this citizen petition requested change.
