Our New Year’s Day movie selection is appropriate on many levels, beyond that it takes place on New Year’s Eve. In “The Poseidon Adventure” lessons abound, but my take away- when you are in the depths of fear and despair, be a Mrs. Rosen.

Spending the last day of 2023 watching great movies with my dog and husband snuggled up on the couch. We started with “Now, Voyager”, then to “High Society”, and now we’re on to “Talk Of The Town”. I may make a fish curry for dinner. All in all, not a bad way to spend the day! Happy New Year!

“I grow old ... I grow old ...
I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled.
Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach?
I shall wear white flannel trousers,
and walk upon the beach.
I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each.”
