the problem with writing action-filled romance stories is that I apparently LOVE writing action and sometimes forget that it also needs to be a romance. I'm gonna have to go back and add in a bunch of longing gazes when I edit this thing

sometimes my draft sentences map pretty cleanly onto the final version of my chapters. other times a five word sentence turns into 550 words of action. oops

Writing fanfic got me through a calendar year of horrible burnout, but now that the burnout is gone so is the writing

(This is more of an indictment of the banality of my job this time last year than a real complaint about my current situation)

Why must my job be INTERESTING again???

I’m trying to come to terms with the fact that I can’t keep up with the longfic posting schedule I stuck to last year, even though I haven’t regretted any of the other ways I’m spending my time.

Why can’t I have an extra day each week where I don’t have to work???
