Oliver H. Wilson (right) restocking a small river in Norfolk, c.1950.
The lorry from the Weston Fishery (Weston Longville, Norfolk) equipped with fish tank and oxygen cylinder making a delivery of coarse fish to a Norfolk river, c.1950. Oliver H. Wilson is on the right.
A view of the River Wensum in winter at Swanton Morley. The river flows through a broad floodplain backed by some woods and a farmhouse in the distance.
What's to be done about the River Wensum? It is sadly degraded from the biodiverse Chalk River habitat which my Gt Uncle Oliver (the Weston Fishery) knew 80 years ago. Even though it is a SSSI and a SAC. Strong words
